We are the

Taylor County 

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The Taylor County SPCA is a Nonprofit, 501c3 organization, made up of volunteers that are dedicated to the well-being of all animals. We accomplish this by education, active intervention, fostering, pet adoption and creating programs to enrich the lives of animals we come in contact with in our community and throughout Kentucky.

The goals and objectives of the Taylor County SPCA are:
 
  1. To prevent cruelty to animals.
  2. To promote responsible and humane pet ownership - including but not limited to - community education with regards to proper care and treatment of animals.
  3. To increase public awareness of and encourage solutions to the pet overpopulation problem.
  4. To actively promote spay/neuter programs and accessibility to spay/neuter services to low-income populations.
  5. To assist law enforcement and government agencies to improve animal welfare conditions.
  6. To encourage pro-animal legislation.
  7. To facilitate animal rescue, sanctuary, fostering and adoption services.
  8. To promote the implementation of a "no-kill" philosophy, including but not limited to programs for medical and behavioral rehabilitation, socialization, pet retention, Trap-Neuter- Release - Return.
